What cookies are
They let a site remember a choice or count a visit. They are not the document pack and they are not used to rank your apps. Blocking optional cookies does not stop you reading this site, sending the form, or opening a journal note.
Types we use
Essential. The banner stores your Accept or Reject choice in localStorage under the key systemvertexcore_cookie_consent. Without that record the banner would appear on every page load. The site cannot function as designed without a place to keep that choice; rejecting analytics is itself stored this way.
Analytics. Only if you press Accept. These help us see which pages are read (for example the review brief versus a journal note) so we know what to keep clear. They are not used to follow you across other organisations’ sites for advertising.

How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. Both are always available; rejecting does not grey out the site. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use the browser’s site-specific controls. After clearing, the banner will appear again because we will have forgotten your choice.
Third-party cookies
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request may allow Google to see the page URL and your IP address. We do not set marketing pixels, social-share trackers, or advertising cookies. Images on some pages are requested from Unsplash; Unsplash may receive the image request. Those requests are not our analytics cookies and are not switched by the banner.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional cookies means we will not count your page reads. The form, the navigation, and the texts still work. Essential storage of your Reject choice continues so we do not nag you. If you block all storage entirely, the banner will return each visit.
